Fixed Mortgage Rates - 30-Year: 4.40%, 15-Year: 3.77%...
In its weekly survey of conforming mortgage rates (released Thursday), Freddie Mac stated that 30-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 4.40% nationwide, while 15-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 3.77%.
According to Freddie Mac, the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) averaged 4.40 percent with an average 0.8 point for the week ending November 24, 2010, up slightly from last week when it averaged 4.39 percent. Last year at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 4.78 percent.
The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage this week averaged 3.77 percent with an average 0.7 point, up slightly from last week when it averaged 3.76 percent. A year ago at this time, the 15-year FRM averaged 4.29 percent.
In the West (CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA, UT, ID, MT, HI, AK, GU) ), Freddie Mac noted that the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 4.35 percent with an average 0.9 point, while the 15-year fixed-rate mortgage this week averaged 3.72 percent with an average 0.7 point.
