We currently have 6 pets and I've laid many to rest over the years.  It's always sad, but I have great memories.

It's so hard to let go of them, even when you know it's time, it's a very hard decision to make. But, as you said, the memories of each one are so wonderful.

I had a very special black cat, which lived to be 19 years old.  Sabu was the smartest cat I ever knew.  When he died a few years back, I installed a 36" tall stone cat statue in my yard.  That cat was one of the best friends I have had.

Toni, thankfully, time heals, and day by day the pain of loss eases.  Neverthe less, it's a hard time.  Have a great day !

Myrl, your memory garden of your cat sounds interesting.  Any photos?  Thanks for the comment.

Hi Joye... The loss of a beloved pet can be very devastating.  They are, to many of us, as much members of our families as siblings or children.

Steve, you are so right.  Pets become our children.  What would we do without them ?
