The first thing I will have to apologize for is my pictures. I left my good camera at home so I didn't have to worry about anything happening to it. Dropping it, leaving it somewhere, having someone else like it a little too much-you understand. The ones I do have are not terrible though-I am happy enough with the way they came out considering.
Any whoooo the first day we kind of just wandered around and saw some of the sites because that night we had the Criss Angel show and we had front row CENTER so I was very excited! We didn't want to do any of the day trips in case we returned late etc.. (and that turned out to be a VERY smart thing)
In the lobby was something I found extremely unusual since we don't have them out here. I thought it was pretty funny. It was called a Best Buy Express Machine. You put in your credit card and you could buy a GPS, camcorder, camera, Iphone or other types of cell phones, Ipads and so on. If it was an electrical gadget there was a good chance it was in this machine. We saw them in several other places as well. I thought it was kind of a great idea since you never know when you might need something spur of the moment and we didn't see a single store that had these types of items.
Scattered around the Luxor is all kinds of Criss Angel memorabilia as he used to live there full time but he now has his own home somewhere just outside of Las Vegas. There is the Mind Freak (based on his television show) store which sells Criss Angel magic kits and so on. There are at least 5 motorcycles displayed as well as his Hummer and Corvette. All are in the casino except for the hummer which is right outside the front door. (You can't take pictures in casinos)
The security for the show was the most extreme out of all the shows we saw. You had to pass through metal detectors, be searched and there were signs everywhere before you even entered the theater area that no cameras or cell phones or video of any kind was allowed. So alas no pictures of any kind. :-( Once the show started there was no entry either which again was quite different from all the other shows we saw as people came in late in all the other shows.
We had front row center as I said which had my husband groaning-he felt we were way too close and would miss out on certain things but definitely changed his tune after the show. The stage was about 5 feet from us which put Criss and the rest of the performers as little as 6 or 7 feet from us at certain times which is great for a magic show. The show was extremely funny and the magic was very good. I was a little disappointed because I had hoped to see more of Criss as the show was in 2 parts but both parts were very good. The first part was a handful of performers that were hysterical and did a great job. Would I see it again? ABSOLUTELY.
The picture with the tickets also shows two slivers of paper. This was when Criss did a trick with razors in his mouth (EEEWWWW!) and he cut the paper with the razor first to show how sharp it was and then gave it to me. My husband liked this trick the best and is still trying to figure it out. This was the only one I didn't really watch. LOL
After the show I asked if maybe I could get him to sign my program but apparently he doesn't do that either so that was a disappointment too but all in all it was worth the wait to get to Vegas to see the show. I would highly recommend it if you are a Criss Angel fan!
