A taste of New Orleans in San Marcos, CA So, two weeks about while hosting an open house at 1254 White Sands in San Marcos, CA Lloyd and Tonya walked in.  They loved the house but did not think it would meet their needs.  This couple that appeared to be about my age....I won't say what that is...told me they had 10 children.  I kind of stuttered but they didn't...they had 10 kids.  We began talking and I found out they had recently opened a new restaurant in San Marcos.  Lloyd told me me it was in honor of his grandmother.  The restaurant is named after her.  Daisys's Cajun Kitchen.  .  I promised them I would check it out.  Well, today, on my way to an open house in La Costa Valley I decided...hey why not.  Daisy's Cajun Kitchen is located right off of Rancho Santa Fe and Melrose in San Marcos.  Honestly, if you aren't looking for the restaurant you won't find it.  It is nestled behind "Discovery Isle" child care in an office park.  Since my intention was to visit the restaurant I had no problems finding it.  This might not be the case if you were not looking for the restaurant.  I was greeted warmly by the hostess upon entering into the restaurant.  With help from her I ordered a Soft Shell Crab Po'Boy sandwich.  The last time I had a Po' boy was when I visited New Orleans, LA.  I could not wait to taste this one and compare it to my memories.  I wasn't disappointed.  The sandwich came with a side of sweet potato fries blew me away.  YUM!!!!!    I will definitely go back to Daisy's Cajun (www.daisyscajun.com).
