Blogging: Real Estate Jargon
The presentation of listings and the ways that brokers present those listings and themselves has changed dramatically over the past 15 years. We have entered the age of transparency. I have been somewhat bothered by training that I've seen which teaches brokers to hire someone to write their blog articles for them if they are not good writers or if they don't have time. I've also been put off by a particular bit of training that taught one to use a gel pen to write a "personal" note to a client and then copy it enough times to send it to all of one's clients. How is that not using technology and gimmicks to deceive past clients?
Video blogging is a challenge for me. I'm not used to seeing myself as others see me. I've studied others' videos in search of what not to do and I continue to improve my presentation. My first effort was on Assessments, Appraisals, and Inspections. This one is on the use of the word Exclusive in real estate.
One thing I've learned in video blogging, unless you are an actor, you convey a lot more of yourself in a video blog than you do with just the written word.
Thank you for watching.
