Thanks to Jeff Dowler's recent featured post for getting my inquisitive little mind into doing a little research on the housing extremes in the Greater New Haven real estate market.
It was fun looking up these little nuggets of information to see how different the extremes in our markets are between the east coast and the west coast.
I've added a few more fun facts I came across that were pretty interesting. This data is for only for single family homes.

Longest Days On The Market - 1271 (home on the Thimble Islands.
Largest Home - 10,105 sq. ft (home in Pine Orchard)
Smallest Home - 480 sq. ft (cottage in Milford)
Most Expensive Listing - $8,975,000 (26 acre Madison home with 1 acre of private beach)
Least Expensive Listing - $29,900 (bank owned home in New Haven)
Most Expensive Sale - $11,900,000 (waterfront home in Guilford)
Least Expensive Sale - $2,000 (bank owned home in New Haven)
Most Bedrooms - 16
Most Bathrooms - 8 full baths
Most Garages - 11 ( 7 car garage on main level with a 4 car heateed basement garage)
Most Fireplaces - 6 (There were 4 listings)
Longest Days On Market (Closed Sale) - 2568 days (just over 7 years!)
Oldest Home - 1673 (Saltbox in Wallingford)
