The Town of Prospect CT had it's annual Santa Claus Parade in the town center with many of the town's children accompanied by their parents waiting for their first glimpse of the jolly chubby man in the red suit.
The Christmas Season is upon us. Kids will start to be on their best behavior, because as the lyrics to the song offer:
It's the season. I love it. Good morning Ed. I hope your Christmas is the best ever.
I love a parade...:) Our's is Friday, and in the evening as well. I will be posting pictures. My daughter was in the IKEA Thanksgiving Day parade in Philidelphia this year. She is in the Local high school marching band. It was pretty cool.

Cindy, the small towns like ours try to get the people motivated, and it is always fun.
Michael, Prospect is a small community and the Mayor really gets people involved.
Andrea, this is a big event for the kids. Unfortunately for me, I thought I had the big camera in the car and only had the phone to shoot with. It was also the Tree lighting, but the tree is smaller and only lit with stings of white lights.
Bill we did, the youngest grandson, Raphael was wide eyed. Coming up on 2 years old this will be a big Christmas for him
I love how the "chubby man in the red suit" came in the fire truck - I'm guessing all those trips down the chimney left him in need of a fire extinguisher.
Lighted "truck parades happen here in some timber-based communities like Myrtle Creek, OR - on December 12.

Juli, one year the Chubby man in the red suit and Mrs. Red Suit showed up on the fire truck at our house for a special visit to the kids at a luncheon we had. It was incredible.
Jim the only problem with the evening parade was they moved too fast for the camera to get a clear shot. Thanks for stopping
What fun. They really are good and ready in Prospect. Was it too chilly to go slow?
Ed, I don't know if I am ready for this. I haven't even finished digesting the Thanksgiving turkey yet, so it is hard to focus on Xmas :)
