  • It's a short trip from Ashland to the commuter parking lot at Route 234 and US 1 to board the express commuter bus to the Pentagon and Washington, DC
  • The same parking lot is home to a Slug Line with rideshare opportunities to both the Pentagon and Washington, DC locations
  • Approximately 15 minutes from Ashland to MCB Quantico
  • I-66 is approximately 20 minutes to the west
  • The VRE Rippon Station is approximately 25 minutes - you can transfer to Metrorail at the Franconia-Springfield Station
SCHOOLS

SHOPPING
  • The Fortuna Center for excellent neighborhood shopping is approximately 10 minutes from Ashland. It features a Shopper's Target and the usual contingent of specialty shops.
  • There are numerous neighborhood shopping centers within 15 to 20 minutes on US Route 1 as well as in Dale City and Lake Montclair Plaza
RECREATION
Obviously, the price stabilization over 2009 is good news for the property owners in Ashland. It is very much in line with recent market reports in other subdivisions that tend to indicate the downward spiral is either ending or ended. A check of the statistics at our Multiple Listing Service confirm that all areas of Prince William County are producing the same results. There are variances, of course, but that is a function of the type of homes and the number and percentage each type in a particular subdivision. The very fact that Ashland is a subdivision of detached homes and town homes only has a different impact on prices when it is compared to a subdivision with detached homes, townhomes and condominiums.

With home mortgage rates at historically low levels this would be an excellent time for home buyers to return to the market while prices are still much lower than in previous years. An Ashland home in Woodbridge would be a wise investment at this time.

Hi Karen, I like how you use detached. Most homes here are unless they are condos, co-ops or townhomes. I know Va has a lot of attached homes that aren't condos, etc. Looks like the Ashland marketing is stabilizing. That is always a good thing!
