Hurricane season 2010  ends Tuesday and, knock on wood, the Grand Strand has dodged a bullet again this year!

It was one of the busiest, but one of the most merciful on record.

There were 19 named storms, and 12 hurricanes, including the closest, EARL, which passed about 80 miles from North Carolina's Outer Banks in September.

This is the first time the USA has escaped unscathed when that many hurricanes arose, the National Hurricane Center said.

Nice to hear that hurricane season is over. Now it's Xmas season. What's the best real estate season in NC?
