Pets and the Sale of your Home.

Most of us have our pets that we love. They come in all sizes. Some are loud. Some are sweet. Some are dangerous. Many buyers I work with will not enter into a home if there is a dog loose in the home. They are afraid of the pet. I have had many dogs and a few cats try to bite me while I showing property.

Many pets have soiled the carpet, furniture or drapes. I have found that if I can smell it I cannot sell it! Clean, Clean, Clean or either Replace.

Make a plan for your pet before you place your home on the market. Many families put "Spot" in the garage and place a note on the garage door. Some take the pet to work or let a family member care for the pet.

Good luck on selling your home. Your pet will survive the selling process and so will you!

Your right most buyers will not go into a home if there is a pet - especially you know the large friendly pit bull - The only way I will show a property that has a dog is if the seller is their and goes for a walk with the dog - lets face it a dog's instincts  is to protect its den and a house is their den. BEWARE BEFORE you enter - and if it smells like dog the buyer will run as fast as they can!!
