Now follow along, Florida Buyers go to http://www.hud.gov/local/index.cfm?state=fl&topic=homeownership. From this page click on Housing Counseling Agencies. You must take a class from one of these agencies in order to qualify for Down Payment Assistance. My Daughter recently completed this program and qualified for a down payment assistance loan of $7500, which can be used for down payment, closing costs and prepaid items.
