Santa's Mailbox - Dec. 1 - Dec. 17
Where: Pearland Community Center, Pearland Public Library, Westside Event Center
When: December 1 – December 17, 2010
It won’t be long before Santa will be delivering his special mailboxes all around Pearland. If you want to send your Christmas wishes straight to the North Pole, drop your letters off at any of three Pearland locations. No stamps needed! Just make sure to include your return address. Santa’s helpers will pick up his mail each day and deliver it to the North Pole. If you prefer, Santa can be reached via email: santaclaus@ci.pearland.tx.us.
Santa's Workshop at the Vic Coppinger Family YMCA - Dec. 3rd

Santa is coming to the Vic Coppinger Family YMCA! Get your free picture taken with Santa, make holiday crafts, and enjoy yummy treats and hot chocolate. Santa's Workshop takes place on Friday, Dec 3 from 6:00pm-8:00pm and is open to Facility Members only. Admission is FREE!
Hometown Christmas Festival - Dec. 3 - Dec. 5

Feel the Christmas spirit come alive as Pearland Parks and Recreation teams up with the Pearland Town Center to host the City's Annual Hometown Christmas Festival and Tree Lighting Ceremony. On Friday evening, Mayor Reid & Santa Claus will light up the sky as they plug in the City's Christmas Tree at the annual Tree Lighting ceremony. A live band will perform and many activities will be on hand for the whole family, including: 30,000 pounds of snow, including a sledding hill, Horse & Carriage Rides and Much more! On Saturday, start a family tradition by having "Breakfast with Santa" from 8am - 11am. A donation pancake breakfast and photo with Santa benefits Forgotten Angels. Cost is $5 per plate. On Sunday afternoon, families are invited to join Santa for Milk & cookies and great entertainment. Pearland Christmas Parade - December 4th

The city of Pearland is proud to announce the 29th Annual Lighted Christmas Parade. The parade brings out dozens of floats and walking groups each year decked out in lights and holiday spirit. And with this year's theme, "A Hawaiian Christmas," expect a lot of fun entries! Plan to see drill teams, classic cars, company floats and many other community folks. To help ring in the season, we invite YOU to join us as a participant in the parade! Entries can be from businesses, non-profit organizations, families, individuals - you name it. The parade route will travel west on FM 518 from Pearland Parkway to Old Alvin Road. Prizes will be given in the following four categories: Best Overall, Best Use of Lights, Best Theme ~ "A Hawaiian Christmas", & Best Walking Group. Tour de Lites Family Bike Ride - December 11th

Keep Pearland Beautiful will be hosting the 17th Annual Tour de Lites Bike Ride at Independence Park, 3919 Liberty Dr., Pearland, TX 77581. Join us for a casual 1.5 hour evening recreational ride to view the Christmas lights of Green Tee Subdivision in Pearland. There will be a “Bike Decorating Contest” at 6:30pm. Tickets will be $15, which includes a t-shirt, and additional family members can ride for $5 each. Tickets purchased on site the evening of the event will be $25.
