Christmas is the time when most of us are enjoying the company of our family and share the quiet time, but, don't forget there are many other family members are stationed overseas to protect us at this time of the year.

Please keep them in your prayer to keep them safe also.

Rita, there's a great blog "Will you give this to my daddy!! Red Fridays" by Ken Rosenberg that I reblogged that's a great reminder of the debt of gratitude we owe our troops.  We can't be reminded too often.

Lora, I will go and check it out, thanks for the re-blog.  I feel for the kids whose parents are both in the military, especially this time of the year.

Rita, thanks for the reminder.  Last year, our MLS donated so many present to our servicemen- gum, candy, CD's, underwear, socks.  Simple, basic things they simply need or want and will remind them of home.  Along with our donations, we all put in a handwritten card of appreciation.   I need to check this out as I'm sure we're doing it this year.  And, there's probably tons of website for the same things.

Juli, what a nice gesture!  Our board did the same this summer.  It is so easy to forget when you don't have a family member in the military, thanks for others to remind us how fortunate and blessed we are in this country.
