Are you working for the Franchise Flag, or working for yourself? Does Brand Matter?

KELLER WILLIAMS® quotes NAR who says it is your personal presence, personal contacts and referrals, that are most important in building business, and KW offers this cute video to support that position.

And if you are an Active blogger and community member on ActiveRain, is it to promote your national brand, or build recognition of your personal or team skill, reputation, and presence in your local, hyper-local marketplace?

Is it to build your market share and business volume, or market share for your office and franchise as you hope for a little trickle-down business?

Or, tangentially, does the video tell us that it is likely that consumers may trend toward working even more with mom-and-pops, independent real estate offices, boutique firms?

Being a sole proprietor broker/owner who left the big franchise I kind of like this video.....one of the reasons I went out on my own was because 99% of my business in the big franchise was still brought in by me...not the brand....

Dennis,

I can completely empathize.  That's the basis of the last question in the post.  And we see it a lot.  Folks who learn to develop business at KW often go independent.  Folks who can't/won't develop business go out of business or go where they are provided with business.
