It was a gray day in Philadelphia yesterday, and probably today as well! But on a walk during lunch break at Rain Camp, I found this wonderful photo opp on a walk along the river. Of course, I had my camera with me. We all had our cameras in hand the enitre time! And I'm glad I did.
Pat - It takes a lot of work to operate one of those. I've never been on one that big before but would like to some day.
Boo Hiss you posted your photo before I did. Now I'll be accused of copyright violation or some other nonesence if I post mine :-)
Pat, there were so many great shots all over the place yesterday. And I would like to add, belatedly, that the work you have been doing was noticeable, diet wise that is. Well done!
Your photo reminds me of the Star of India, the oldest active sailing ship, based in San Diego. Used to drive by it all the time (and toured a few times) when I lived in SD.

Pat - thanks for sharing this beautiful photo with all of us! I have never been to Philly.
Pat - I'm with Mel - I thought it was the Star of India ... until I actually read your post. Thanks for sharing ... another beautiful slice of history!
Pat - wish I had gone for a walk! Never thought of leaving the 2nd floor for some fresh air. What a great AR Camp, and so much fun to finally meet you!!!!
Pat
You picked a great place to take a walk in Philadelphia.
Good luck and success.

Hi Pat, That is a very good photo. Sort of reminds me of the trees in winter, all brown and bare and looking stark and frigid like the ones poking into the photo. Beautifully composed.
Pat
Great photo.. It seems to be gray and gloomy a lot lately here too.. but sometimes that makes for a great photo!!
Reminds me of when I used to walk along the Inner Harbor at lunch in Baltimore!
Hi Pat... I love old ships for the same reasons I love old houses... they make my imagination run amok with thoughts of the stories they could tell! If only they could speak!
This is a ship. Just think how much bigger and more sea-worthy it is than any of the ships that brought Columbus, then colonists to America.
I am glad you did, too, Pat-take the photo opportunity. Reminds me of Newport RI!
