It is really nice to live in a city that cares about its citizens. I have never been so proud of the city I live in than the day after Thanksgiving this year. Now that The City of Boca Raton owns the Amphitheater at Mizner Park it decided to kick off the holiday season with a tree lighting and fireworks show and a carnival.
There was everything for everyone.
- Train ride for the kids
- They brought in Snow to play with as you know Florida does not exactly have snow naturally
- A big slide
- lots of games
- Street fair with vendors
- Amazing fireworks display that were shot off the balconies and a tree lighting.
There was music and Allen West and the mayor Susan Whelchel was there as well.
This all leads up to the 40th Annual Holiday Street Parade on December 8th and the 34th annual Boat Parade on December 18th.
The Holiday Street Parade called "Holidaze Tropicale" starts at 7:30 PM
