If your home is on the market during the holiday season, be sure to keep your festive decorating to a minimum. It's much better to opt for "seasonal" decorations such as greenery, pinecones, white or silver candles rather than religious or cultural displays like the nativity scene or Santa and his reindeer.
Also, scale back your holiday decorations and limit them to an elegant tree, a tastefully decorated mantel and a simple door wreath. Choosing just one colour for the ornaments and ribbon will contribute to a less cluttered look. And it's always a good idea to temporarily pack up your everyday decor items when decorating for a particular season.
