WHY ARE REALTORS AFRAID TO OFFER A STAGER'S SERVICES AS PART OF THEIR LISTING?

As a professional Stager I am confused when a Realtor says they are affraid to suggest bringing in a Stager to help the seller prepare their home for sale. I understand that it is relatively new to some and they may not understand how it will benefit them. I work with Realtors that offer my consultation with their listing. Once I do the report, the seller can opt to hire me for the staging or not...it's up to them. Actually the seller's appreciate the oportunity to have someone tell them what's needed to get the most return on their time and money. And  you get an easy listing to sell and a chance to make more commission in a shorter time. What are you affraid of?

Don't be offended by it, the market is changing and some Sellers are weary of too much too soon.  Maybe, you would be better to come in as a rescue, days into the listing. The Sellers still believe they are loosing so much money.  They are remembering the past market.  Still hard for them to comprehend that they will not be making, as much, money on their sale.

The problem with staging after the property is already listed is you miss the opportunity of the first 24 days & the anxious shoppers looking at the new stuff! You can add new pictures, but once the shoppers have seen the property online & passed it oer, they very seldom re-visit it. That's why it's SO important to stage before going on the market and get the best first impression possible.

 Noella- Realtors also think they are stagers. I know first hand, when I tell them to do something that will cause the sale to happen faster and they would also make more.. they resist. When a stager says it, they are most definitely less resistant!.
