I have decided to undertake the 31 Days of December Challenge because I don't want my next closing to be in March. I actually do work toward consistency, but this will be a good way to keep me on track through the busy holiday season.
Day 1 - I made a shameless plea to my daughter to ask her facebook friends to like my business page to read the entry that I wrote about her newborn daughter for the AR/Kodak Moments contest. I got 9 new fans.
Day 2 - I emailed 14 people from my prior contacts list just to say hi. I wanted to do this before I actually sent out holiday cards so they wouldn't think that I was just sending out once-a-year greetings.
Day 3 - I did a listing presentation for former clients who are thinking about putting their house on the market. Their main question was whether or not to wait until after the holidays, so I gave them the top three reasons that now is a good time: 1) Only serious buyers are out looking now; 2) relocating employees need to find a place by January; 3) interest rates are slated to rise soon and buyers know they need to move now.
This is a great challenge because it will keep us on track and give us more innovative ways to generate new business. I am looking forward to learning from others.
