Scenes from the 22nd Annual Christmas in the Village of Plantsville Thursday Dec.2nd 2010
It sure was cold outside - my family thoroughly enjoyed this toasty bon fire, courtesy of Faith Lving Church, in downtown Plantsville, CT. It was part of the annual Christmas in the Village of Plantsville celebration.
The guy with the gloves REALLY is chestnuts roasting over that huge open fire. A true sight to behold and a treat for all!
Just a few of the other attractions we enjoyed included, Santa at the Plantsville Fire House, face painting by Valentine the Clown at Dean's Stove & Spa, a horse drawn carraige ride, sponsored by Wachovia Bank and Mrs. Claus at CMC Computers.
The best part about the evening was EVERYTHING was FREE! We thank The Southington Parks & Recreation Assoc. and The Village of Plantsville Association, Inc. for organizing this event for us every year.
Generous donations received from Wachovia Bank, The Calvanese Foundation and many other local businesses made this event possible. For this we are truly grateful! I am truly blessed to live and work in the town of Southington - where so many wonderful programs for children just like this one are offered all year long!
