I Flit, I Float, I Fleetly Flee I Fly....

ballerina flying aroundSo Long, Farewell, I flit, I float, I fleetly Flee, I Fly...  (What the heck is Fleetly?) Anywho, Thought the seasonal charm of Sound of Music would be fitting here for my post about flitting around from group to group. musical notes

I saw on a recent post about edited your former posts instead of regurgitating new ones and I thought, why not change up the groups as well? So I did. I got a lot more comments from folks in groups I had not originally posted to.

The point? Flit around, spread your knowledge, let others feel the warmth of your posts, or the sting depending on what you have to say. (And some include quite a bit of ranting - me included sometimes)

If you feel you might have better results in a new category, as long as it fits, switch it up. Don't spam the groups or be inappropriate but maybe your post would have better luck in a different group. I found some groups that I thought my previous posts would fit better in so after joining the group I switched my inclusions around. Work with the system and use it to your benefit without crashing the system. Remember, once you take it out of a group it will no longer post there. So let it have it's due time and then EXPOSE YOURSELF.

Have a super Christmas Season!

Dawn - Thanks, And yes, one of my favorite movies!

Karen - I find myself clicking on one group for almost every post but I need to branch out knowing I can come back and change this at any time.

Frank and Karen - Thanks... I hope so too. But I don't want to see the same person in every category every day either, you know? :)

I make it a point to always stay outside of my comfort zone. I think it helps me grow as a person to always experience new things.

Tammy, being new to AR, I just found this group and I am glad I did.  This is great advice.  (Although some days, I can barely log in, I am so logged out!)

HA! Ron - So true! Thanks for the comment and welcome to AR. There is so much valuable information. But sometimes it's hard to weed through the fluff. Find a couple good articles and subscribe to the writer. That is how I have kept up with good info and filtered items not applicable to me. :)

Tammy, I certainly have been "flitting" around but am not having very good results. I've been most disappointed in my Faith based groups as I don't think I've ever had a response from any of those groups.

Hi Tammy, as usual, great post! Love the ballerina pic. I have been wondering if that would make a difference, changing up the groups I post too. I'm not really sure where else I would post but at some point I will have to ask around, check out content that is in other groups, seem like a good place to start.

Laura, yes check around. There are some groups with less than 10 people in it. But find ones that have a lot of members with little turn over and your post is likely to stay up longer. Have fun!

Great insight...cheater!  I kid.  Seriously, great idea.  And who can argue with a post that quotes The Sound of Music.  If you saw me, you would never guess me a sucker for that movie, but I am!

Tammy, you also want to pay attention to who is active in the Group. Some groups have no moderator or leader that is currently active in AR. Makes for a dead group literally.  It's one way to stay in a group that is active & people are participating.  Newbies Group is always busy.
