With the holidays breathing down our necks, I am beginning to feel the stress of the preparations of the holidays and the New Year. What I haven't done and will not do this year, is Christmas shop. In fact, my husband and I are on a well deserved vacation right now and that is our Christmas to each other. Done. My friends and family have all decided we aren't giving anything to each other but we are going to help needy families and charities that are in dire need right now. Done.
We already have so much stuff and I mean stuff. How many candles, knickknacks, clothes, shoes, cologne does one need? Honestly? So, I have removed a huge weight off my shoulders. Give to people who are in real need. My adopted family this year is a single Mom with lupus. Her daughter has severe asthma and other conditions which makes it hard for her to manuever. They need me much more than I need to receive stuff or give stuff. Please try to do the same. Done.
