Fall is pretty much over, but here is a small reminder. I snapped these photos in Larchmont NY about two weeks ago – before the fall leaves fell from the trees. The color was still vivid and the light at that time of say (around 4 PM) was ideal for taking pictures. I knew the leaves were teasing me. Almost taunting me saying “We won’t be around much longer – you’d better hurry if you want some color.”
Larchmont NY is one of my favorite communities in Southern Westchester. The neighborhoods are very, very walkable. Commuting to the train is a snap – for most Larchmont NY homes in the 10538 P.O. the train station is within walking distance. For those who do need to drive, parking the new parking facilities make things user-friendly. Larchmont homes for sale are doing very well in this market and the area is experiencing a mini-housing boom which began at the beginning of 2010.
These photos were taken on North Chatsworth Ave in the Larchmont P.O. (unincorporated portion of Mamaroneck) Its about half a block from the train station in a neighborhood known for its high-end cooperatives and condos. This neighborhood sits right on the edge of a single-family residential area – also part of the Larchmont P.O. The village proper is just to the south of the coop complexes. It’s a great area, centrally located – with quiet streets.
