Happy Anniversary to Me. Happy Anniversary to Me. Happy Aniversarrrrrry to Meeeeee - The Committment Continues
Well today, I celebrate the anniversay of my first ActiveRain post titled Today's Thought: Keeping It All Together In Challenging Times. I wrote 14 posts during my first month including in the rain (including 1 feature) and I've been committed ever since and I plan to continue that committment. It's ironic that my first post is a classic example of what happens when I don't follow my own advice. If you've read my recent post from December 2, you clearly understand what I mean and how I've come full circle. One year ago today, I had a whopping 6 comments on my post and three (3) of them were mine. I'd like to thank the following people for commenting on my very first post: Scott Taylor (who for some reason on that day, I called him Bob), Emily Medvec and Renee Norton.
Little did I know that when I joined ActiveRain:
- That I'd be in such great company
- That my real estate training had literally just begun
- That each day would be another opportunity to learn from the vast sea of knowledge that IS ActiveRain
- Little did I know that I would be facing the biggest challenge of my career to become the very best that I can be
- That I'd become addicted to the forum and the thirst for knowledge that comes with it
- Little did I know that on each day, I would be looking so forward to reading what some of my favorite people had to say (and for some, cling to their every word)
I won't even go into the points that I've accumulated or the number of my post that have been featured. Little did I know one year ago that both the points and features would be secondary to the real purpose of ActiveRain which is to generate business and develop a network of around the world.
As I celebrate this one year aniversary, I almost feel like I've grown from being a child to an adult. It's kind of weird, but in a good way.
I do want to thank everyone who eventually accepted me into the fold, welcomed me and accompanied me on my journey. For those whose blogs I subscribe to, I can't even begin to tell you how you've enriched my life. No need to call out names. You know who you are. Besides, I work for a living and identifying all of you for the purpose of this post would take far more time than I currently have.
May the Blogging Committment Continue!
Cheers!
