This beautiful ice sculpture was one of the many wonderful attractions this year at the Christmas in the Village of Plantsville celebration.  It was created by Kevin Smith of the Southington Care Center.

The evening was jam packed with all sorts of fun activities for kids as well as adults.  A middle school 14 piece Brass Trumpet Ensemble performed for us at the fire house, while we waited in line to see Santa.

We discovered a great new art gallery, Paris In Plantsville. We enjoyed their beatiful display of artwork while being entertained by this wonderful trio (sorry, didn't get their name but they were EXCELLENT!)  I appreciated learning that this new Gallery and Studio offers art classes for all ages.  Check out Paris in Plantsville or call for details 860-410-9952.

Go here to find out more about what went on at the 22nd Annual Christmas in the Village of Plantsville. This is certainly an event you don't want to miss. To all the corporate sponsors, the Southington Parks and Rec. Dept. and The Calvanese Foundation - THANK YOU for a great evening!

Hi Karen - Well, it certainly was cold enough for an ice sculpture--no worries that it would melt in the foreseeable future!

I hope it was cold enough for that beautiful ice sculpture not to melt.  And, featuring a middle school ensemble?  That had to mean so much to them.
