Do You Need to Get Energized?

Here are a few tips on getting yourself energized.

Hint of Red - Red is the most energizing of all colors.  Just a hint of red will do.  Ladies, try wearing a pair of red earrings, or a red scarf.

Splash of Cold water - a quick splash of cold water first thing in the morning may energize you even better than a cup of coffee.

Peppermint Refresher - The strong smell of peppermint will not only wake you up, but it will help you to move through your day more quickly and efficiently.  Keep a essential peppermint oil in your purse or drawer at work for a quick pick me up.

Drink more water - We're made up of approximately 70 percent water. If you're not drinking enough, then your body slows its circulation and in turn, your energy goes tumbling down.  Bottoms Up & Cheers to You!

Laughing - Watch a funny movie - laughter energizes us.

Flowers - Flowers are bright, positive and warm energy that can lighten and energize any room or person.  Try having red or pink flowers in your work area.

Rubbing Your Ears - Did you know that by stimulating certain pressure points on your ear, you can increase blood circulation and energize your entire body.  Rub your ears for one minute and feel the energy flow.

Stretch - Go ahead and S T R E T C H - Stand up, get on your toes and lift your fingertips to the ceiling and S T R E T C H!  You will activate almost every muscle in your body.

Smile - Something we all need to do more often is smiling.  Smiling lowers your blood pressure, helps you to relax, relieves stress, exercise 15 - 26 facial muscles, makes you look younger as it lifts your face.  You'll not only make yourself feel good, but you will make someone else feel just as good because you smiled at them.

Silence - Yes believe it or not, spend one day a month in total silence.  It may seem difficult at first, but I guarantee that you will find it refreshing and energizing.  Give that chatterbox in your head a REST!  You'll feel so much better and your body will thank you.  Peace and Quiet does a body good sometimes.

Wishing everyone a relaxed and enjoyable Holiday - Remember, "It's all Good" No matter what you think maybe happening to you or not, "It's all Good".

These are some great ideas.  I also find if I am sleepy I will go outside and walk for about five minutes.  The fresh air and break from the office does wonders for my energy.

Great points, just some fresh air helps, or 5 minutes of self-time(meditation).

Good morning Graziella~ My favorite color happens to be red, so I've got that covered!  Not sure about splashing cold water in my face.  Laughing sounds great.  Gonna focus on that one!  :-)

Graziella, nice tips.  I've definitely used the cold water trick.  I usually lay down and stretch to make me more comfortable for a nap :)

Naps should only be 15 mins. after that you're sleep and then you'll have to do the Cold Water Trick to wake yourself up and get going again.

Graziella, Thanks for the tips. I have found the more water I drink the healthier I feel and the less likely I am to over eat.

Great tips. A shot of peppermint oil and a glass of water energize every time. Peppermint oil clears up the sinuses, too!
