Sharing is Caring. Please donate. Tis the season of giving. This time of year people are in a more generous mood. Wanting to give gifts. Donations are a great gift to give. We can all help each other by donating something that we have to someone in need. Cash is king and is the easiest to donate. But maybe you aren't in a position to give cash donations. There are still ways to help. Look around you. Extra canned goods in the pantry, donate it. Is there some furniture that you no longer use or need, donate it.
What about that old coat, dress, suit, or those extra blankets in the closet, donate it. We are currently in very hard times and there are a lot of homeless people that could use an extra coat or blanket. Have an extra car or house ( yes people even donate houses), donate it. Maybe you don't have any articles to donate.
How about your time? Donate your time at a local senior center, school, womens shelter, or soup kitchen. Deliver meals to those that can't get out. People that are shut ins enjoy seeing new faces.
Don't forget those that are currently serving in the milatary. Send a Christmas card to a soldier. Whatever you can do, you will be providing a positive impact on a person or family and it will come back to you. Who knows, someday you or I may be the one that is in need.
There are a lot of charities out there. Some are local and some are national. Below is an alphabetical list of some of the more familiar organizations. I am not promoting any one over another. I am just providing food for thought. Click on a name below to be linked to their website. Be kind. Be generous. Donate.
