Why we blog? Do you know why you blog?

It amazes me how many Realtors haven't grasped the concept yet!  Blogging regularly not only gets you love from the search engines, but it also establishes you as the AUTHORITY for your niche, and builds credibility.

I blog because it allows me to utilize that part of my brain. it's a nice outlet. I enjoy it, therefore it's never ever work.

My reason is for the exposure, then to get the information out to those customer/clients who are looking for information about real estate.

I've just stepped back into the rain, I've missed the great members and the exposure we receive here.

I love it when that happens! I blog because I like it here, it brings me business, and I have a chance to give back. I laugh, I cry, I learn.

Isn't that awesome! I have gotten 2 clients just since I signed up a month ago! That's pretty good publicity for me! :) Congrats

Michelle, thanks for sharing another powerful story about the lead generating ability of blogging.  I am new at it but stories like yours keep me motivated.  It's also a lot of fun too!

I blog for business, and also blog to escape my crazy office at times!

Michelle... it's a very simple answer for me.. well, maybe 2 part... to get business... and to educate consumers and realtors. SOme of my posts have even helped loan officers in the past. And lastly, because some get to know me better, depending on what I post about.  thanks

Hi Michelle, As others have mentioned I blog to help increase my visibility like everyone else wanting SEO but also as a service to consumers who have questions about my area of Lake Charles, LA.  I do alot of relocation business and surprisingly alot of buyers find me via the internet and my blog!  My first AR success was a buyer who found me via a blog I did about a grocery store imagine that! 

I love my town so I like to blog about events and our area and find that it helps me become a better agent and learn things I did not know about my city even after living here a long time :)

Sharing is a big part of blogging too and there are many who share educational informaton via AR so I like to do the same when I can :)

You write because you love your area, you show who you are and because of that someone found you and you are going to get paid for doing what you love. Blogging doesn't have to be taken serious, we are here to connect and sometimes connecting take showing a little bit of ourselves in our posts. You certainly have figured that out and that is why she called you .

Michelle - Good question and congrats on the Featured post.  I blog because it's part of my business strategy which includes having a strong presence on the Internet.  I got a lead today because someone found my blog through a friend who had sent him the URL.

This makes it all worth it Michelle.  Way to go.
