Seattle waterfront real estates sales are finishing out a strong year, with five November waterfront homes sold. That number brings the total sales for the year to 70 waterfront homes, a 35% increase over the 52 sales in 2009.
Sales this month skewed toward the lower end, with a houseboat near on Lake Union near $100k and a canal-front cabin on the Puget Sound side of the Ballard locks closing at just over $300k. A Lake Washington lot with project potential sold for $535k in Seattle's Skyway neighborhood.
Moving on to the luxury waterfront, a high-end floating home near the Fremont Bridge sold for $1.11 million. True floating homes on the Fremont side of Lake Union are rare, and this home's value reflects it.
The top sale of the month was just under $3 million in Northwest Seattle's Broadview neighborhood. The 3.4 acre estate is a modern construction home with panoramic Puget Sound views.
