umm...let's see...how 'bout...

New York Times article on Highland Park   Click hear to read full article or check out blurb below...HIGHLAND PARK ARTISTS...

"...HIGHLAND PARK in northeast Los Angeles holds many honors: the first town to be annexed by Los Angeles (in 1895), the backdrop for Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs" and a historic trust of Craftsman and Victorian-style homes. ...The turnaround started a few years ago, when real estate prices in nearby Silver Lake and Echo Park increased significantly. Priced-out artists, actors and writers were drawn to Highland Park's walkable streets and its glut of handsome old homes. Not only was it aesthetically appealing, but the area also had parks, hills and a hushed, small-town feel..."  NY Times

The Artists moved to Silverlake when it was affordable and look what happened...neighborhoods were transformed...and home prices skyrocketed.  The same thing is happening in Echo Park.  Before the artists began migrating to this cool little area, nobody would go there...and look what's happened...neighborhoods are improving...and home prices are soaring.  I believe Highland Park is next...I really do...Highland Park CA homes, bungalows, craftsman, mid-century...have your pick...to learn more about Highland Park CA homes for sale that have recently sold visit http://www.cochranhometeam.com

I would like to leave some comments about my dealings with Pat Cochran. If you are not interested in details, I will sum my thoughts up as follows:Honest, patient, makes one feel at ease, reliable, 100% communication held my hand thru the entire experience. If you're looking for a shark, I would start with someone else.

I found Pat Cochran completely by chance having not been referred by anyone. At 60 years of age, I suddenly found myself in a whirlwind of activities, one of which was the sale of the property which was held in trust for a family inheritance. I had absolutely no experience in real estate prior to this. In fact, Pat came to my home, sat and spoke of things which were of absolutely no interest to him (rental management). My family wished to simply sell this home, completely as is for the best possible price to be had. After spending about an hour with Pat, I was placed completely at ease and felt he had my interests in mind. The only other Realtor I dealt with, I would characterize as shark, that be all I say.

Pat's appraisal of the value of our property proved to be spot on. He was in constant contact with me concerning each and every detail. Every step and paper that came to me was explained, with honesty and clarity. Pat kept me on track and in the right direction. This whole sale process took, it seems but a couple of weeks but I'm sure it was a bit longer. I am totally convinced that Pat followed the direction of what my family wish, achieved a fair price for both us and the buyers.

I guess I could go on but I think I've made myself and thoughts clear. Should you be in need of a sound Realtor in the areas he covers, I can not over stress my confidence in Pat and highly recommend him. I wish I had about 10 more properties I could send his way. This is one person I wish to remain in contact with and am sure to be calling just to say hi and thanks again. Robert Moreland
