In honor of those military persons who have given their greatest sacrifice, WreathsAcrossAmerica started as a small organization and was putting wreaths on the graves of our bravest. It has litterally branched out across America to honor more and more of our fallen. By clicking onto their website you can sponsor a wreath for a fallen military person.
Here is an introduction paragraph from their webpage:
"From Arlington to Across America
Wreaths Across AmericaTM, a non profit 501-c3 organization, was formed as an extension of the Arlington Wreath Project. The Arlington Wreath program was started by Morrill Worcester (Worcester Wreath) in 1992 with the donation and laying of 5000 Christmas wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery. This became an annual journey for Mr. Worcester. Read more about this in the History of Arlington."
Our liberty is the most important thing that America has, we are a great nation. We protect that great American asset called Liberty by inviting our young men and women to VOLUNTEER for our varied branches of our military. It is a complete volunteer gift they give to America. That Liberty is not FREE. It is freely given to us because of those young men and women's desire to keep us and their loved ones and the tenets of American Liberty safe every day. They are trained every day, they learn "secrets" and education that we will never know in order to take care of us. They experience stress, loneliness, difficulties and also...a sense of pride to protect us, sometimes giving the most honored and treasured gift they can offer...their lives.
Here is a great organization that honors these "heroes and heroines" since they freely give this ultimate sacrifice for us and our families. These heroes and heroines freely serve all over the world in the attempt to protect them and give them the treasure of libery too.
God Bless America and all our branches of the military!
