Bank of America - Please get it together!

I've been working on a normal purchase transaction with Bank of America for going on 70 days now. I'm representing the sellers, and we were supposed to close this past Monday. We've been told numerous times that it will close on time, and here we are the day before our new closing date with no clear to close or docs in hand. Communication has been almost non-existent throughout the process. I'm disappointed, as I do my personal banking with Bank of America and have always had a good experience. Is anyone else going through similar issues on regular purchase transactions with them?

Megan, I think bank of America not only wins the award for worst bank to deal with on a short sale...they are quickly becoming the leader in awful conventional purchases.

You said it Bank of America I too have struggled with getting transactions closed on time. Hopefully, you will be able to contact someone at the bank who will be able to help.

Megan, I’m sorry you are going through this with Bank of America – one of the biggest of the Big-Bad-Banks. They don’t care about people or the inability to get it together.

DON'T GET ME STARTED!  Yes, my caps meant I was shouting!  My mother told me if I have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all... but I always was a bit rebellious, so here goes:

Bottom Line, there corporate culture of corruption and stupidity will "never" change.  I have been on the buyers end of Bofa, the Savings/Checking end of Bofa, the Information Technology (IT) programming side of BofA, and the Real Estate Broker side of BofA...  it will never get any better!

They are a huge ship unable to navigate the waters, or easily change direction.  I've worked with the behind the scenes managers and programming folks... their goal is NOT customer service.  Sad, it leads to blogs like this, but really, what do they care? :-(

A friend of mine has stoppedtaking BOA buyers on his listings because he said they got down to the wire and Bank Of America could not close.  Their shortsales are nightmares also.  They are just too big to care.
