Polar Ice House
There are six Polar Ice House locations in North Carolina, in Cary, Greensboro, Wake Forest, Garner, Pineville, and Wilmington.
The activities offered, lesson packages available, skate times, and pricing varies at each Polar Ice House skating rink. The cost of a public skate session, including a skate rental, is usually around $10.00.
All Ice House locations have additional holiday hours throughout the month of December, and into January. Fridays and Saturdays usually have night-time free-skate hours throughout the year.
"Learn-to-Skate" and "Learn-to-Play" programs are designed for kids as young as three.

The Raleigh IcePlex

The Raleigh IcePlex is home to North Carolina's only Olympic sized ice rink.
The Raleigh IcePlex offers additional holiday skate times from December 20th through January 2nd.
Cool Ventures is a holiday camp from December 20 - 23 and 27 - 30. The camp features hockey, ice skating, dance, arts and crafts, video games, board games, rock climbing, and more.
RecZone Raleigh
912 Hodges Street Raleigh, NC
The RecZone is an official practice rink for the Carolina Hurricanes, and it is the home rink of the North Carolina State University hockey team. The NC State hockey season lasts from September 2010 through February 2011.
Additional skate hours and programs are available during the holiday season. The RecZone offers a daily Holiday Skateing School on December 27, 28, 29, 20, and 31 from 10:00am-12:00pm. The cost is $16 per day or $65 for the week.
Triangle SportsPlex
101 Meadowlands Drive Hillsborough, NC 27278
The Triangle SportsPlex is the home rink of the University of North Carolina and Duke University hockey teams.
In addition to figure skating, hockey leagues, broomball sessions, skate lessons, and camps, the Triangle SportsPlex offers three indoor swimming pools, a fitness facility, sports shop (for swimming, skating, hockey, and general fitness products), as well as a snack counter.
