You Just Never know What's Behind a Baton Rouge Home!

On my morning jog, I was greeted by this tranquil scene.  A family of ducks decided to stop by a pond for breadfast in their soujorn South for the winter.  Luckily I had my phone and snapped a quick shot.  I was reminded of how many beautiful things in life we miss because we are in too much of hurry to slow down.

As I paused to watch their fellowship I noticed one of the local natives (the white fellow) had made friends and joined in the fun.  He must have come from a nearby pond when he heard all the gleeful squaking and quacks as his new found friends

Next week they will be gone and it will be just another dreary moss laden pond sitting beside a subdivision of Baton Rouge homes.  But for this day it is was a noisy, fun, mealplace for this friendly flock of new found friends.
