Trickster Coyote On The Prowl Stopping To Give Me The "Stink Eye" For His Kodak Moment

Trickster Coyote

I was getting ready to go to a meeting in my office one beautiful June morning, when this fellow came sauntering through my backyard. The stars were aligned just right and I was able to snap this photo from my open home office window! I used my Kodak Easy Share Z981 camera which has a 26X Optical Zoom to take the amazing shot.

That magical morning reminded me as we go about our daily routine it is easy to get into a grind and forget about the wonderful things that surround us. Don't focus on what you don't have or wish you had. Stop for a moment and look around you, you will see the things that you can be truly thankful for. Whether it is your children, spouse, parents, siblings, friends, a pet, a roof over your head, food to eat, or just the fantastic world of nature that we have been blessed with.

Take time out today to look around you. I'm sure if you think about it, you will find many things to be thankful for. Take a moment to reflect upon those things and you will have centered yourself in a place that is very peaceful. You will then be ready to move on in a positive direction that will benefit you and those around you.

Great picture.  I never heard the term "stink eye" before but yes, there is surely something to be said about the eyes.  And yes it is so true that we can get so envolved in the daily grind and crunch that we forget to stop and smell and appreciate the roses that are part of daily life -- the unexpected joys.

Coyotes are becoming plentiful across the country it seems.  We have some issues with them in this area re pets and farm animals.

That look defines "Stink eye." We have a small population of coyotes here in Vancouver Washington. I love to watch them hunt for mice in the green belt behind out house.

Hehehe, he doesn't look like he really wanted his picture taken huh?  This is a great capture though, that zoom really came in handy.

Donn,

What an impressive photo. This guy  is no joking, and you can see it in the eyes. Excellent

Sue - That's right, the "unexpected joys" surround us if we just open our eyes!

Mark - They are pretty cool creatures and being able to watch them hunt would be a treat!

Iran - Yes, I could not have taken that nice of a photo without the zoom.

Jon - Thanks, my wife was all excited when she saw the pic.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Donn, He was posing for you.  My sister has them come through her yard and it does not make them happy as she feeds a bunch of deer.

Super picture - this guy's cousin's have been making a lot of noise in my back yard lately.  It's really cool to be so close to city services but still have a touch of the wild in our neighborhoods here!
