The book tells the story of a climb in the Dolomiti peaks: a son looking for his dead father, lover of the mountains and an-affective.

Conversing with the owner of the hut, in a still clear day of September, and in a parallel climbing towards the top with a crucifix that does not unite, the young man suffers from the words of a father that, in the "we" of a revolutionary generation, has chosen not to leave any inheritance to his son. Although, He did love him, because "there are hours that are placed on the shoulder and keep us company forever."

At the end of the story, actually created as a screenplay - the brainchild of Andrea Di Bari, with six photographs of Paola Porrini - De Luca adds a note in which he writes of his father's character "mortally wounded" by La Capra, who left him the legacy of books and mountains, and that has left the legacy of "touching things on the surface".

For Italian-reading people.
