Can you tell me how big my condo is?

Welcome to Windsong CondosYesterday, my cell phone rang and on the other end was the sweet voice of an enthusiastic young woman.

Hi Cynthia ... I just rented a condo at Windsong and we are in the process of getting estimates to put in new carpet. Can you tell me how big my condo is?

Well yes, I'm pretty sure I can. New carpet? Now that's exciting ... give me just a second to pull up the property records. What's your unit number? OK, the square footage for unit #136 is 848 square feet. Subtract the kitchen and two bathrooms and 800 should be a good number for estimates.

My caller thanked me and we said our goodbyes. This isn't the first Windsong Condo call I have received. I've had calls from potential renters, calls from folks wanting the HOA phone number and calls from owners wanting to reserve the community room for gatherings.

All of these calls are coming from a blog post I wrote about Windsong Condos over 7 months ago. Ever since then, that post has been on page one of Google for anyone who types in Windsong Condos Rohnert Park. Posts like that make my phone ring with some interesting phone calls.

I'm still waiting for the caller who says ... Hi Cynthia, we are interesting in buying a home in Rohnert Park and we found your blog about Windsong Condos. Can you help us?

It's just a matter of time.

I often wonder about those calls also. You know your post 'is working' but is it 'working the right way'. LOL.

Cynthia, yes, it is just a matter of time. And if you manage to be in the same position with other subdivisions, then you will experience the drip campaign, when these cals start coming.

And I wish you experience it to the fullest

Lyn - Yes, it's funny the calls I get. It feels good though, I like helping people.

Jon - I've written about a number of neighborhoods and condo complexes. It seems the condos I have written about are a big hit since there are so many units in each.

Michael - you got that right. It seems the longer the post has been on Google, the more calls I get. Nothing better than a good seasoned post!

Barbara - now you're talking!

Katherine - what goes around comes around, right?

As David says, I know how that feels.  I constantly get calls for Wilshire Corridor buildings.  And on another building the guy was arguing with me as to why I could not give him the number of the front desk (there isn't one) or the number of the person he was trying to reach.  One day

David - if you are familiar with some large condo complexes there, you should blog about them. This condo complex has 223 units and there are always 3 or 4 for sale at any given time.

Jane - LOL, I've read some of your posts where you have been getting your share of these same calls.

BDAMB - I wouldn't have guessed you were a country music fan!! I'm a country junkie!

Brian - I think I'm getting closer. I just received an e-mail from one of my other condo posts ... a buyer this time. At first I thought it was someone on AR playing a practical joke right after I published this post ... guess not!

It will happen Cynthia. I have the same situation with the 39 condos in my farm, but I’m now getting inquiring calls from people thinking about selling since prices have been climbing since February 2009, especially in my condo farm.

Jim - 39 condos! Your phone must be ringing off the hook!

Paul - the feedback has been great ... wish I would have posted more about condos and neighborhoods back then. Looks like I have my work cut out for me. You moved to Tumwater?
