If you are a Baltimore County resident and in particular Catonsville and Arbutus, every year you are treated to a special visit from Santa Claus just before Christmas.
The Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department Annual Santa Detail is a highlight of the season. (Especially when you have a 4 year old little boy!) All of the neighborhoods in the Catonsville and Arbutus area are mapped out and meticulously visited on that specific day. For a total of 11 days the volunteers escort Santa on a BIG RED FIRE TRUCK.
FRIDAY DECEMBER 10th - THURSDAY DECEMBER 23rd
From 5:45pm - 8:30pm
THEY DO NOT COME QUIETLY.
Over the years it seems to have gotten bigger and bigger. The procession behind Santa's engine includes paramedics and other fire trucks. The sirens are blaring and the lights are a blaze. They can be heard from mant streets away.
