Success quote for December 12, 2010

Good Sunday Morning,

Today is December 12, and it will be a great day.

Each day I'll be posting a quote that will, hopefully be thought-provoking.

I thought it would be nice to help give us all a little added inspiration to our day.

Many of you are aware of the trials and tribulations that have befallen me over the last few years, including a near-death car accident that left me wheel chair bound for 7 months.

About a year after the accident (around May), I started to have some complications.  Not from the accident, but, I have been diagnosed with one of the rarest neurological disorders known.  I am one of about 25 people in the country who have this "disorder" and am continuously going through experimental treatments.

Sometimes I feel like an alien that has been sent to Area 51.  They're not sure what they have, however, they keep testing until something "sticks".

I am able to achieve this against the odds that I am given because of my attitude and belief that I can.

I found out yesterday that the doctors are putting me back in the hospital for up to 3 days for additional testing.  They are putting me in an observation room with 24/7 monitoring where I'll be hooked up to machines through wires on my head and cameras on me.

Did I mention that I feel like an alien that has been captured?

Here is the inspiration for the day.  Have a great Sunday.

Well this is the first I've heard about your accident.  You do have a positive attitude and that's half the battle, hand in there sunshine things could be worse.

You are not an alien to me but a person who is going to come through these difficult times on top because of your positive attitude. Know many of us are there with you in spirit as you do your hospital time.

Hi James,

Yes, you are right.  I am a firm believer that they could always be worse and to be thankful for what you have.

Hi Deanne,

Always nice to hear from you.  Thank you for being a part of my writings.  I will be writing while "doing time" in the hospital.
