I have a very wonderful Big Chocolate Lab "who" I take out a number of times a day for a walk. The walk is great I get some exercise, chat with the neighbors and get some fresh air. Also, along the walk I notice how litter collects in the unattended areas. Like most dog walkers I carry a couple plastic bags (recycled grocery bags) that are likely to be needed along my journey. The other day while bent over cleaning up after Mr. Dog I noticed that an empty designer water bottle was within reach and some other litter was also within reach, within a few moments I had picked up a small bag full of litter which when I returned home deposited in the trash can with Mr. Dog's deposit. Since then I pick up a can, a bottle, candy wrappers, fast food bags, etc. that are along our daily path. The only thing I have to remember is to have a couple extra bags in my pocket. It's not too difficult and it sure makes a difference in the neighborhood. Try it when you take your dog for a walk.
Great exercise and improving the neighborhood too. We all need to look for the easy ways to improve where we live and if everyone did just one bagfull the world would be much brighter.
John, a little fresh air, play ball with the dog and why not pick up one or two pieces of litter a day, what a difference if everyone did that. GREAT POST.

John, Great post. Especially here in Naples, were most of our buyers are visitors, if we can't put a little effort in keeping the neighborhood clean, we can't really complain about the market and what it has done to our home values. I admire you for doing your part.

So many times we think, look at all of this XXXX, my little effort won't make a difference...but this is a perfect example of every little bit helps...Good for you John.
