Top 10 Must-Have iPhone Applications

By
Real Estate Agent with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Florida Network Realty BK 3030920

I have not yet succumbed to the iPhone swarm, for a variety of reasons:

  • I still like my Palm Pro, and the OS. It works with our local boards E-key data, meaning I can open lockboxes with my Pro. Yes, I can now open lockboxes with the iPhone, but it does require an additional gizmo and fee for said gizmo.
  • My phone is only about 2 years old, and while I've noticed the battery life is waning, I tend to make business technology decisions more on the patient side; if the technological advance does not work well, or harms my business, I'd be unhappy with my decision.

However, applications are not being written as frequently for my Palm Pro, meaning I'm lagging behind on the app front, which is somewhat frustrating, although I believe I'm probably saving myself both time and money.

This article, from the NY Times lists the top IPhone apps for you IPhone users out there; http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/11/technology/personaltech/11smart.html?_r=1&src=me&ref=technology

Carol, I have written an iPAD Adventure series so this post caught my eye. Let me go check out this list. I have to ditch my old Palm, give up Agent Office, switch to a new database, and load an iPAD, too.

I don't think we should do anything to instinctively as far as keeping up with technology.  It changes so rapidly, we could go bankrupt just keeping up.  Go with what you feel comfortable with, not with the nerd at the desk beside you 8<)

Robert - I know it's important to me to have my E-Key on my phone, for convenience; I think the iPhone does open lockboxes, not sure about Android yet - let me know which way you go, as I may be replacing my Palm next year.
