Growing up on the Main Line, and attending Lower Merion, Malvern was always known as that borough at the end of the line! Malvern is a great borough, an area with many great places to eat like The Flying Pig.
Compared to Lower Merion, Malvern is a steal, but if you want to buy, keep a sharp eye out. There aren't as many homes for sale as in the LM Township area. A total of only 22 homes sold in the first half of 2007, with the average days on market (DOM) just 67 days, fairly in line with that of Lower Merion and Radnor.
The lowest sales price was $90,000 with the highest at $626,000, and an average sales price of $247,722, which is nearly 1/4 the average sales price on the Main Line in Lower Merion.
