Agents helping Agents- A Challenge

By
Managing Real Estate Broker with LoKation Real Estate

I have been issued a challenge, to help as many agents in 2011 as possible. For the past couple years I have been part of a nationwide referral network that benefits agents at any stage of their careers, see if one of the following describes you or someone you know-

  • Managing brokers benefit by keeping transactions in their office even though their agent population may be shrinking
  • Active and/or new agents that want more business benefit by learning how to build ongoing referrals, not "leads", but actual referrals from buyers and sellers that are ready to move.
  • Inactive agents benefit by learning how to become Professional Referral Agents (I just got the latest list of inactive agents in Colorado, and of the 41,000 license holders in that state 10,110 are inactive) imagine the number of referrals from this untapped resource
  • Agents that are winding down their careersbenefit by learning how to create an ongoing retirement income from their current business (you have developed a very large SOI, we can teach you how to continue how to benefit from your years in the industry)
  • The client benefits by getting a Full-Time real estate agent to handle their transaction

As part of the challenge, each broker involved was asked to find one social media outlet. I chose ActiveRain. I felt it would get the most and fastest response to our Beta program which was developed to build referral teams while helping agents & brokers that are leaving the industry.

We invite you to participate in our beta program (no cost) to work with us in developing personal referral teams from agents leaving the industry - we will work with you and give you a referral tracking account along with coaching, and access to our extensive resources and templates needed to build your own personal referral team.

This beta program is one year long, all we ask you to do in return is fill out a quick survey each quarter, so we can track the program from your perspective. If you would like to participate and learn how to build a referral business, please go to www.MyGreenParachute.NET click on the "contact us" button, fill in the information and write "beta-CO" in the comment box. We will get the info off to you right way and we will get started right after the New Year!

Forward to a friend - the more diversity in agents and companies the better for us all! Looking forward to the challenge!

If you are a new agent and finding the road more difficult than you thought, please send me a note and I would be happy to help.

I enjoy helping agents to find their niche!

 I am happy to help.

John - That is an interesting concept.  We can always use more referral business.  We plan to sign up if we can participate outside of Colorado??

It sounds like a good opportunity, is it across the country, or Co only?  There are many agents hanging onto their licenses that are not really working, but can't revamp their business to meet the market.  It would benefit them too.

Jim and Linda- I know that we have a presence in 28 states, I would suggest you fill out the form, show that there is interest in this model in your state and we will find someone to broker the company

Mary Jo- see above response, and yes my guess is the 25% inactive in Colorado is similar across the country, and of the remaining 75% that are still "active" the majority are very part time and everyone could benefit from our program, feel free to sign up. and pass along.
