Geddes is the youngest town in Onondaga County, New York with a population of approximately 18,000 residents. The Town of Geddes is a western suburb of the city of Syracuse, NY which includes the independent Village of Solvay and the hamlets of Westvale and Lakeland. It is approximately a 10 minute drive to downtown Syracuse and another 10 minutes will get you to the airport.

Schools: Depending on where you live in the town, your children will attend schools in one of the following districts -  Solvay or Westhill.

 Parks/Lakes/Recreation: There are 3 parks in the Town of Geddes (Lindbergh Lawns, Geddes Atheletic Fields and Lakeland Park) which allows residents to enjoy their pavillions, swings, play scapes, baseball fields, football feild, soccer field, basketball and tennis courts.Also, there is the John Carno Recreation Center building where classes, meetings and gynmanium events are held. There are 2 golf courses in the Town of Geddes (Pope's Grove, Westvale) and 7 others within a 6 mile radius.
