On a smoking hot July 4th holiday weekend in 2010, my cousin celebrated her 25th anniversary by inviting her entire bridal party to an absolutely beautiful lake house near her Atlanta, GA home. I was fortunate to be a part of her special day 25 years ago, and again 25 years later. It gave us all a chance to reflect on our accomplishments over the years. The kids had an unique opportunity to see photos and videos of their parents in pre-children years...oh, those were the days.
I chose this picture for the Kodak Moment contest because every time I take a look at it, I get such a claming feeling, because thanks to Kodak Moments like this I now have memories of this special time spent with the special people in my life for a very special occassion. With all of us comfortably sleeping under the same roof of a beautiful lake house, we were able to bond far more than the usual stay at a local hotel where we see eachother mostly for meal time gatherings.
Our weekend consisted of sight-seeing, celebrations, boat rides, volleyball, billiard, hide-n-seek, and so much more. Before leaving I had to take pictures of the sunrise and capture my Kodak Moment of my time in GA. This is the view of the back yard and lake from one of 4 private patios overlooking the pool, beautiful back yard, the enormous gazebo with a swing, and finally the main attraction...Lake Oconkee. Enjoy.
