Are you on my Favorite Real Estate Agents List?  Would you even know the criteria or how you get to become on my favorite agents list?  To achieve this goal, you must have goals, one to help your client, secondly to make the sales process a Win/Win for both sides, meaning that you are not there to tear the seller or buyer a new one, just to prove you are a good agent in the eyes of your client.  And lastly, one who will work together with all involved to get the deal to the closing table.

Picture of agent at open houseThese people I call my Favorite Real Estate Agents are the easiest and best to work with, they leave their ego's at the door.  There main focus is to be as helpful as possible.  What a pleasure these people can be to be around. One goal, one mission, no matter how tough this job can be at times.

I often look for these type of people to recruit for my team, I figure they are exactly the people I want to represent my ideal of a great team.  Who wins when one side steals from the other side?  There is most likely an unhappy client on one end, that will never do business with their agent again, and no one really wants that.

Not only do they work hard towards the common goal of getting to the settlement table, they are ususallyPicture of Favorite real estate agent willing to help more than what is expected from them, again something all of us could use-- HELP! 

When I said I like to recruit these people is because they have a lot of great qualities.  These qualiities include some of the following and more: Ethics, Intergrety and Great Work Habits.  I also beleive these will be the most successful people in their field.  Why not friend a Favorite Real Estate Agent?  So day the time will come when they are holding all the cards, and guess what, you will absolutely need them to be on your side as well.

Don, in any market we all know the agents that are a joy to work with as well as those that we want to walk a wide circle around because they lack most of the qualities you outlined.  It's too bad that we don't get to choose who we work with.  I can remember times when my client wanted to see a house listed by one of those "special" agents and I am thinking to myself, I sure hope they don't want to buy this house!
