I have a new camera, Panasonic DMC FZ 100) for xmas but couldn't wait to open it. It is an upgrade to my FZ 18 but has a new CMOS sensor. The main thing this sensor does over a CCD type is that it allows for auto focusing during burst modes. The camera can take 11 FPS at a 14 mpeg size. Quite a feat. The other big item especially for me is that now I can mount an aux flash on the camera. This is important because my add on wide angle lens interfered with the camera flash and left a big shadow. I am not sure it takes any better pictures then my FZ 18 but I will find out. It also has a 25 mm lens that goes out to 600 mm. Here are a few pictures taken with the camera.
Keep in mind these were taken without changing the lens on the camera. My big thing with the camera is that if you can't see it you can't take a picture of it. The shot of the lady with the dogs was taken across the lake un the first picture. The Honey Bee Golf Course in Virginia Beach is even pretty in the snow.
