Loud and Clear

The message from the Democrat controlled Congress is loud and clear....we get it.  Never Throw you guys out of office on your ears again or you will retaliate strongly with Anti Common Sense legislation.

For the past three weeks, Congress, in cooperation with the Senate that barely survived the onsluaght, has worked tiresly to pass items which they know would have never allowed them to be re-elected had they passed them prior to the vote.

The Omnibus Bill for instance, rated by the CBO as costing a HALF BILLION DOLLARS per PAGE and is coming in at over 2000 pages is extreme retribution.  Certainly I imagine that many congress members have allocated large grants to companies where they will soon find themselves on the board of directors with a hefty salary, or to revitalize areas where they own land.....but even so, this bill, even with out the graft and corruption, is hugely overblown and bloated.

Don't Ask Don't tell.....another left cause not rooted in reality.  The military is comprised of less than 1/10th of one percent of the US population.  Somehow this CAUSE has taken precedence over the Tax issue which will affect  i.....oh at last count 100% of America!  (Now before you attack me......read my sentence, where do I lean on don't ask don't tell)

I firmly believe that certain Democrats like to run bills up the flag pole with nicy nice names and horror written within.....and then when other members of congress actually read the bill, and vote against it, the sponsors and the President can scream mayhem.

Imagine the Fuzzy Bunnies and Cute Puppies Act (FB&CP).....Written within it might say that new taxes are created on the owners of Fuzzy Bunnies and Cute Puppies MUST pay a FB&CP tax.  Further it could say that Fuzzy Bunnies make great coats and must be surrendered to the government for this purpose.....

Free thinking (Yes R's) would vote against it and say that they are against the taxes and murder of innocent bunnies, which would allow the Democrats to soap box that the Republicans Hate Fuzzy Bunnies and Cute  Puppies...  (Biden would say that Republicans Hate Cute Fuzzy's) CNN and MSNBC would do a special about Right Wing Hatred of Children's Pets, and yet...it is all because of the name.

America....Wake UP!  Read The "Dream Act" read the "Health Care Bill" Read the "9-11 Health Care Bill"  Read the "Teachers Bill"  Then DEMAND that your representatives take the time to read them as you would read a contract or offer for "YOUR CLIENTS" and do thier jobs!

It is all bunk.

Gary, we are all hopeful that a new day has dawned in Washington and the business as usual mentality on both sides of the aisle will come to an end.  It was encouraging to see the Omnibus Bill fail because the voices of the people were heard and heeded.  It was also encouraging to see the people stand up in November and say enough is enough, we want real change.  We only have ourselves to blame because each one of us has the power to vote and how we use that vote (or not) is responsible for the eventual outcomes.  Gone are the days of political apathy...
