In real estate, loyalty is the word we are constantly hoping for.
We want loyalty from our clients, no matter past or current.
We want loyalty from our sphere. When we refer clients to them, we hope they will do the same for us, too.
In reality, we don't get it all the time. But when we get it, it is almost like having the best gift ever, at least to me.
I have sold a house to a client last month, they were downsizing from a close to 7,000 sq ft home to a almost 4,000 sq ft home. They didn't need to sell theirs first before buying, there are a few things they plan to do before I can put the house on the market. It will be listing at the $500,000 something price range.
Let me explain a little about my market. It is a very rare find to have a huge house for sale, they don't come up or have a buyer looking for one often at all. Yet, in real estate world, you just never know what is going to happen next, right? I have some marketing plans in mind already, just waiting for them to let me know when it is ready to list.
Yesterday, an agent contacted my client to see if she could show her house to her buyer. Remember the house is not on the market yet, it is not on the MLS at all or whatsoever. There is no secret in our little town, haha. The agent is not trying to steal the listing or anything like that, she just knew my client is going to sell her house eventually. She didn't know I will be the listing agent. Anyway, my client told her that she is working with me, and told her to contact me for showing appointment instead.
I got the call from the agent first, followed by my client. I told her she has no idea how much I appreciate her loyalty, it means so much to me. She said I worked so hard to help her to get her new home, and she will not have it any other way. She can easily cut me out and make a deal with the other agent without me knowing it, but she chooses to stay loyal to me. It just touched my heart so much.
You can't educate your clients to be loyal to you, it is only a human nature, it is all about the person him/herself. I am just so grateful to have a client like her.
Thank you, Tammy!
