Activerain got me a commission check, not my blog, but the shirt!

I love Activerain and over my close to 4 years of getting drenched here in the rain I have gotten many commission checks, but this one wasn’t because of my blog, it wasn’t because of my photos either. It was because of my Activerain shirt that Bob Stewart gave me last year when I came to visit him at the Activerain headquarters in Seattle.

You see in the Pacific NW it rains and rains a lot. But, I’m not the kind of agent that wears a suit and tie, it just isn’t me. I’m more of a nice shirt and jeans kind of guy, but this day was my day off that I was going to spend with my family. So, I decided to head out in jeans and a T-shirt, which happen to be my Activerain shirt.

This day was a little more than just rain, it was a downpour, we were expecting almost 2 inches of rain within 24 hours. Well, someone saw the front of my shirt that says “Let it rain” and said, oh, this is your fault. Of course I had to laugh at the fact that I know had power over Mother Nature, but it got us to talking and the gentleman asked what the shirt meant.

I explained to him what I did and how Activerain was a real estate networking site that brought the real estate world and consumers together. He listened and then said “You know my wife and I are about to start looking for a home, do you have a card?” Of course, I pulled one out of my jacket pocket and then 2 months later we had found them a home and I got a commission check.

Since that has happened, I have a total of 6 of these wonderful shirts and I wear them about 5 days a week now and I’m on the way to 2 more commission checks because of those wonderful Activerain shirts that not only say “Let it rain” but apparently they actually get it to.
